ボランティア内容：	2-14才くらいの子供を対象に、ハロウィーン･パーティを行います。 会場の準備、飾り付けの手伝いをはじめ、本番で絵を描いたり、クラフトを作ったり、フェイス･ペインティングをしたり、様々なアクティビティの補佐を行います。 基本は「子供たちと一緒に楽しく遊ぶ」ことになります。 NYdVは折り紙･ぬり絵テーブルを担当。 子供達のよろこぶような「一芸」のある方大歓迎です。 デコレーションのアイデア、マテリアル寄付も募集。 当日参加はできなくても、ハロウィーンにちなんだぬり絵の下絵をかいてもいい、という方、使わなくなったデコレーションを寄付してくださる方も募集しています。 シフトは２つ-1シフトだけの参加も大歓迎です。 ▼準備（10時-1時）     会場飾り付けなど ▼本番（1時-4時）     NYdVテーブルの折り紙スタッフ     ぬり絵などアクティビティ補佐

The LGBT Community Centerは、1984年に設立され、LGBTコミュニティの様々な団体や活動をサポートしています。 文化活動、教育、アドボケシー、ヘルスケア、メンタルケア、ファミリーサービスなど様々なプログラムやサービスを提供するとともに、LGBT関連団体への場所･サポート･ネットワーク提供にも重点をおいています。

団体のミッション：
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center provides a home for the birth, nurture and celebration of our organizations, institutions and culture; cares for our individuals and groups in need; educates the public and our community; and empowers our individuals and groups to achieve their fullest potential."

The Center itself produces many health-related, civic, and cultural programs. In the next several pages you will read in detail about these programs; each was conceived to meet a need that was not already being met elsewhere. Programs produced by the Center include Project Connect, an alcohol and substance abuse prevention and intervention program; Youth Enrichment Services (YES), an activities-based program for lesbian and gay youth; CenterBridge, the Center's AIDS bereavement program; Center Orientation, produced in-house and in all the boroughs of New York City; Center Kids, the Center's family project; the Pat Parker/Vito Russo Center Library, New York City's largest gay and lesbian lending library; the National Museum and the National Archive of Lesbian and Gay History; and Promote the Vote, the largest lesbian and gay voter registration and mobilization project in America, created in 1992.

Center Kidsについて：
1989年にスタートしたLGBTCenterのファミリーサポートサービス。LGBT家庭の子供達に交流の場をもうけ、子供を持つ親たちの横のつながりを強めることを目的に、様々な行事や活動を行っている。
Though many gay men and lesbians have had children through heterosexual marriages, in the last couple of years there has been an explosion of family development and child rearing by individuals in our community. Founded in 1989 Center Kids gives children ongoing opportunities to befriend others from similar families, while their parents have a chance to meet, socialize and build their own support network. Center Kids, which advocates at state and local levels for the rights of alternative families, has become a national and regional model for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender family organizing. Currently, more than 2600 families in the tri-state area utilize Center Kids facilities and programs.
